What it takes to keep Kentucky's Black-led farms alive
As federal support is cut and public conservation efforts fall short in reaching rural Black farmers, one Black-led organization is creating new lifelines to protect historic legacies.
Developer Ross Boggess has been nominated by the Mayor to fill the current Board of Adjustment vacancy. Council will decide whether or not to approve his nomination.
This Thursday, August 14th at 5:30pm, Council will hold a Confirmation Hearing to vote on whether or not to appoint Ross Boggess to the Board of Adjustment.
The Board of Adjustment makes special planning decisions in Lexington.
Ross Boggess is a Development Manager for The Integral Group, a real-estate development company that works in the Atlanta metro area. Before joining The Integral Group, Boggess was Vice President of Development Projects for Lexington developer The Webb Companies.
He also co-hosts the DevelopLex podcast, an interview show focusing on urban planning, real-estate management and development, and more.
If Council approves Boggess's appointment, he will serve his first term through 2029. Board of Adjustment members are allowed to serve up to three four-year terms.
